Welcome to the official site of NDSU’s chapter of the

Society of Women Engineers

The Society of Women Engineers was founded in 1950 as the first society “dedicated to the advancement of women in engineering” (From the Society of Women Engineers website)

Our Goals

The goals of our chapter are the help each member to network with other students and potential employers, gain knowledge, experience and the skills necessary for professional engineering work, and to outreach to younger girls, encouraging careers in math and science. We attend and host several events throughout the school year to achieve these goals.

How to Get Involved

Come to a meeting! It’s the best way to learn about upcoming events and meetings and to meet other members. Look on the “Calendar” page to find the dates of our upcoming meetings and events.

You can also become an official SWE member through the official SWE website, www.swe.org for a fee. Becoming a member allows you to register for SWE conferences, both national and regional, and receive the monthly SWE magazine. It also allows you to apply for great SWE scholarships. Look on the “Become a Member!” page for instructions on how to register with SWE.
