WELCOME

from the Dean of the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences

Dr. Thomas Riley

College Ambassadors are a tangible asset to the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, and to the students majoring in our disciplines.  As a sounding board for the Dean, they help to shape college directions in regard to student needs, and they serve the college in many ways.  Without their input and their service the college would be a poorer place indeed.

The Ambassadors help out with visiting dignitaries, in student recruiting during Discover NDSU and at orientation, and at college events such as Honors Day.

Besides helping the Dean form policy recommendations for the faculty, though, AHSS Ambassadors serve students in a very direct way by funding a scholarship each year for AHSS majors who are not Ambassadors. Giving back is a part of what makes these young men and women special.

You will recognize College Ambassadors by the insignia on the shirts that they wear to official functions.  When you do, please know that they are special to this college and to NDSU as a whole.  If you are a student, consider joining them. And if you are one of them, thanks from me on behalf of the other students and the faculty and staff of the college

Sincerely,

Thomas J Riley

Dean, College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences, NDSU
